The Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Petropavlovsk hosted training for school staff on the KiVa anti-bullying program. The school's teachers got acquainted with the key aspects of the program, worked out practical tasks and discussed effective methods of combating bullying among students. The KiVa program, developed by the University of Turku (Finland), is recognized as one of the most effective in the world in the fight against bullying and is aimed at creating a safe and supportive educational environment.

From the beginning of the new academic year, a special KiVa team will start working at the school, which anyone who witnesses or participates in bullying cases will be able to contact. The team will include teachers, psychologists and other specialists trained under the KiVa program, and will be ready to respond promptly to any cases of bullying and provide the necessary support to both victims and those who show aggression.

Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Petropavlovsk is an official KiVa school and is actively implementing this program to make the school safer and more comfortable for all students. It is important to note that the KiVa anti-bullying program is not limited only to the walls of our school. The program is also broadcast and implemented in five support schools of the North Kazakhstan region, including in the districts of Magzhan Zhumabayev, Mamlyutsky, Ualikhanov, Yesilsky and Zhambyl districts.

The cooperation of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School with the University of Turku began as part of the implementation of the KiVa program, which allows using Finnish experience and best practices to improve the school environment in Kazakhstan. Thanks to this partnership, our employees have the opportunity to learn the world's best practices in bullying prevention and effective interaction with students.
