16 August 2024 15:51

A four-day training on the KiVa anti-bullying program, one of the world's leading anti-bullying programs developed at the University of Turku (Finland), took place at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Petropavlovsk. AEO Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools has been a partner of this program since 2023, which makes it possible to introduce advanced methods of countering bullying in Kazakhstani schools.

First of all, representatives of all NIS support schools in Petropavlovsk were trained, including schools from Magzhan Zhumabayev, Mamlyutsky, Ualikhanov, Yesilsky and Zhambyl districts. For four days, classroom teachers, school psychologists and deputy principals received valuable knowledge and practical skills, as well as methodological developments that will help them effectively apply anti-bullying measures in their schools.

Upon completion of the training, all participants were awarded certificates confirming the completion of the course, as well as provided with the necessary materials for further work in the new academic year. The KiVa program, which is already being implemented in 23 countries in Europe, North and South America, as well as in Oceania, is being piloted in Kazakhstan this year.
