A 7th-grade student of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Pavlodar, Munira Rau, took 2nd place in the 1st stage of the Kazakhstan Children's Classic Chess Cup held in Taldykorgan.
She was also awarded a cash certificate worth 150,000 tenge.
It is worth noting that 29 participants competed in the girls under 14 category.
