An Educational and Practical Seminar for Regional Debate Club Leaders on the Topic “New Methods of Organizing Debate Clubs in the Context of the Global School Debate Format” Was Held in Ust-Kamenogorsk.
An educational and practical seminar for regional debate club leaders on the topic “New Methods of Organizing Debate Clubs in the Context of the Global School Debate Format” was organized at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Ust-Kamenogorsk, in collaboration with the OzgerTeam Public Fund. About 100 educators and debate club leaders from all corners of the East Kazakhstan region participated in the event.
The main goal of the seminar was to introduce new methods for the effective operation of debate clubs, facilitate the exchange of experiences in the debate movement, and provide an opportunity for participants to enhance their professional skills. The program included various training sessions, group activities, and discussions. Participants received detailed information on global debate formats, their features, and the development of debate culture in Kazakhstan.
The quality of preparation of the seminar speakers and trainers was high. Among them were our school’s teachers: Kazakh language and literature teacher Kanat Edelevich Turganbaev, English language teacher Aigerim Zhaiybekkyzy Taiyman, and a student from the East Kazakhstan State University, coordinator of the East Kazakhstan Debate Community Zheger Tolegenuly Sarsenbaev. These experts shared methods for managing and organizing debate clubs and provided practical skills to the participants.
At the end of the seminar, participants were awarded certificates. These certificates served as a symbol of the participants’ enhanced professional skills in organizing debate clubs. In addition, during group work, important topics were discussed, such as teamwork, effective time management, and new ideas for debate techniques.
In conclusion, the regional seminar was an important step in the development of the debate movement and the organization of debate clubs in schools. This educational event not only provided theoretical knowledge but also introduced participants to practical experience, marking an important milestone in their professional growth.
