OUR STUDENTS WON THE REGIONAL HACKATHON

11th grade students of Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Ust –Kamenogorsk Rasul Rizabek and Alzhan Nargaliyev won the hackathon "Flood Challenge" at Oskemen it-Hub.

The task was to create innovative solutions for forecasting flood conditions in the East Kazakhstan region. The goal is to respond to emergencies and minimize flood damage.

The condition of the participants was to download the marked-up data, supplement the dataset with data from open sources, analyze the data, and develop a predictive model.

The Tasqyn team was recognized as the winner.  That is, the Tasqyn team consists of 11th grade students Rasul Rizabek and Alzhan Nurgaliyev. They proposed a predictive model that can predict floods with a horizon of up to 7 days.
