15 November 2024 15:21
As part of the methodological week “Pedagogy of Comfortable Learning: The Path to Students’ Personal and Academic Development”, our school organized a reading hour in the “Reading Time” format.
Earlier, the teaching staff began reading the book by renowned educator and psychologist Shalva Amonashvili, “Humanistic Pedagogy. Book 1. My Smile, Where Are You?”.
This work highlights the importance of kindness and a smile in teaching, spiritual values in a child’s upbringing, and the significance of becoming a teacher who can bring joy. The book also emphasizes the need for schools to create an atmosphere of happiness and to associate childhood only with positive experiences.
The teachers of NIS Uralsk, after discussing the book in various formats and exchanging opinions, concluded that the ideas of humanistic pedagogy contribute to creating a comfortable environment for children and make a significant contribution to the development of the education system.
