Students from the Nazarbayev Intellectual School (NIS) in Uralsk demonstrated exceptional performance at the "FIRST Championship - 2026" World Robotics Championship, recently held in Houston, USA.
Our school's team, Tidal Tumble, delivered an outstanding performance, scoring an impressive 535 out of a possible 545 points in the robot matches.
Competing against 160 of the world's elite teams, our 10 talented students secured an honorable 12th place. The proud members of the team are: Doskhan Aitbayev, Beknur Zhanbolatuly, Danial Kozhakhmet, Demeu Tuganbayev, Aldiyar Abilov, Alim Uspanov, Damir Mazhit, Azat Abdrakhmanov, Orazbek Kapashev, and Abdulaziz Maksot.
A vital contribution to this historic achievement was made by the students' parents, whose unwavering support served as the foundation for this triumph.
As a reminder, the FIRST Championship is a global platform dedicated to fostering engineering skills and critical thinking. Participating in such a large-scale event—which evaluates problem-solving capabilities, teamwork, and decision-making under pressure—is a prestigious milestone in itself.
Congratulations to our students on this spectacular success!
