10 April 2026 14:27
At the initiative of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Uralsk, the first network online conference “I SPORT RESEARCH FEST” was held, becoming a significant event in the professional community of physical education teachers. The event, titled “New Directions in Physical Education in Modern Schools: Pedagogical Solutions and Practices,” brought together more than 100 participants interested in developing a modern educational environment.
The conference served as an effective platform for professional dialogue, exchange of experience, and the presentation of research-based practices. It aimed to enhance teaching excellence, disseminate innovative approaches, and promote research activity among physical education teachers.
As part of the event, four thematic sections were organized, each reflecting key trends in the field:
Section 1 — “Lesson Study as a Tool for Enhancing Teaching Excellence”, where participants shared their experience of collaborative lesson research;
Section 2 — “Action Research: From Theory to Practice. What Should a Modern Physical Education Lesson Be Like?”, focused on implementing a research-based approach in teaching;
Section 3 — “Current Challenges in Implementing Artificial Intelligence Concepts in Physical Education Lessons”, where the prospects of educational digitalization were discussed;
Section 4 — “Assessment Tools and Methods in Physical Education Lessons”, highlighting modern approaches to evaluating student achievement.
The project gained particular importance through the support of the Center for Educational Programs of Astana. As noted by Gulnar Batyrova, Chair of the Research Department of the “NIS USTAZ” Association and the author of the conference, the key value of the event was the active exchange of teaching practices and effective methodologies. According to her, participation in the conference enabled teachers not only to enrich their professional experience but also to gain strong motivation for further creative and research endeavors.
Based on the outcomes of the sections, the best projects demonstrating a high level of professionalism, innovation, and practical significance were identified:
Section 1:
1st place — NIS Aktobe
2nd place — NIS Astana
3rd place — NIS Uralsk
Section 2:
