01 March 2026 10:49

A festive event entitled “Zhatakhanam – Shugylaly Ortam” (“My Dormitory – My Bright Environment”), dedicated to Gratitude Day, was held at the NIS dormitory in Uralsk.

Students presented heartfelt kui performances and soulful songs to the parent community. Future graduates, who are completing their studies this academic year, delivered presentations highlighting their achievements and successes. In her speech, the Head of the Dormitory, Magripa Masalimova, noted that each year the dormitory proudly graduates well-rounded and educated young people.

A distinctive feature of the event was its format of seven thematic “stations,” each organised as an individual мастер-класс (masterclass).

At the “Skilful Hands” station, participants learned about soap-making technology and created natural soap with their own hands. The “Digital Literacy” station provided guidance on the effective use of the e-government portal, digital signatures, and the 2GIS application. In the “Dream Space,” parents and students collaboratively created vision boards and set goals for the future. At “Kitchen Studio,” students demonstrated their pizza-making skills and culinary culture. The “Art of Knitting” station promoted traditional crafts, where guests were introduced to casting on stitches and basic knitting techniques. At the “Tactile Book” station, participants explored methods of creating books for children with special educational needs. Finally, the “Asyl Mura” station showcased the technique of braiding a kamcha (traditional whip) and highlighted the importance of preserving national heritage.

Parents also shared their impressions and expressed sincere gratitude. The event concluded with a meaningful exchange of letters between children and their parents. This touching moment became a vivid reflection of the warmth and mutual understanding between parents and children, as well as between teachers and students.
