Students from NIS Kokshetau demonstrated outstanding results at the Infomatrix Asia 2026 international competition of innovative technologies. Following the final project defenses, the school’s teams secured two first-place and two third-place finishes, confirming their high level of expertise in STEM and digital arts.

For a decade, Infomatrix Asia has served as a key platform for young researchers. In 2026, the competition brought together more than 250 teams from 10 countries that had undergone a rigorous preliminary selection process. Amidst fierce competition, the projects from NIS Kokshetau earned expert recognition from the international jury across several key categories.

In the Hardware Control section, the top spot on the podium was claimed by the OnAITynys team, which included Yusuf Mukhambetkaliyev, Kairat Esken, and Daniel Zhakupov. Similar success was achieved in the AI Programming category by the Januya team, consisting of Dariya Seitzhan, Mansur Ydyrys, and Dameli Zhanbyrshy. Notable results were also shown in the Startup track: bronze medals were awarded to the Prometheans team, represented by Arnur Ilyasov, Mukhamed Assylbek, and Eskendir Yerikuly, as well as the Novalab team, which included Nurai Nuraly and Renat Abulgazin.

A standout achievement of the competition was the recognition of the academic potential of 11th-grade student Yusuf Mukhambetkaliyev. For his exceptional success in developing innovative solutions, he was awarded an educational grant to study at Satbayev University, the leading technical institution in Kazakhstan.
