The network stage of the NIS Hackathon 2026 for students in grades 9–12 was recently hosted by NIS Taraz, bringing together young innovators from across the country. The event served as a platform for developing technological solutions and honing teamwork skills in a unique format: this year, teams were formed using a random number generator.
Among the top performers was Yusuf Mukhambetkaliyev, a student from NIS Kokshetau. As part of the interregional team "parquet," Yusuf collaborated with peers from Almaty, Oskemen, and Astana to develop a digital product prototype within a 24-hour period. Throughout the intensive competition, participants assigned roles among themselves, acting as UX designers, frontend and backend developers, and industry experts.
During the final defense, the team presented their project to an expert jury comprising representatives from KBTU, Narxoz University, EPAM Kazakhstan, NEO ATLANTIS LLP, and BeyimTech. Based on the evaluation of their technical solution and presentation quality, the team secured a well-deserved 3rd place.
