As part of the ten-day Nauryz celebration, Dombra Day was held at NIS Kokshetau. This large-scale event brought together students from grades 5 through 12, who performed a series of famous folk kuys en masse.
The program was packed: one after another, the students performed “Tepen Kök,” “Kelinšek,” “Naragash,” “Erke Sylkyim,” “Er Turan,” “Adai,” and “Balbyraun.” The synchronized performance of such a large number of complex kuys demonstrated the students’ excellent preparation and their interest in national art.
Dombra Day became not just a concert, but a platform where young people actively uphold cultural traditions. The event helped bring together students of different ages and served as a reminder of the importance of the heritage passed down from generation to generation.
