NIS Kokshetau physics teacher Sergey Koshkin won an honorable third place at the international IMPACT Olympiad competition. This success is yet another confirmation of the teacher's high level of professionalism and his deep mastery of innovative teaching methods.
The IMPACT Olympiad is a platform for the world's best teachers who are ready to take on challenges that go beyond standard curricula. The main goal of the Olympiad is to develop analytical thinking and the ability to apply fundamental knowledge in non-standard situations.
Participants solved not just problems, but complex theoretical questions and practice-oriented cases requiring the modeling of real physical processes.
"These were both highly complex theoretical problems requiring a deep understanding of the fundamental laws of physics and practical case studies where it was necessary to propose a model of a real physical process, justify assumptions, and defend the results obtained. Particular attention was paid to the ability to reason, not just to obtain a numerical answer," notes Sergey Koshkin.
Participation in such competitions allows NIS teachers to integrate international experience into the educational process, which directly affects the quality of education for schoolchildren. For Sergey Koshkin, the prize was the result of a synthesis of academic knowledge and the ability to argue complex scientific decisions.
