Nuray Nuraly, a 9th grade student at NIS Kokshetau, won first place in the Pizza Pitch startup competition organized by Aqmola Hub. For her victory, Nuray was awarded a cash certificate for 50,000 tenge.

At the competition, Nuray presented her development, NanoLight, an autonomous nanodrone designed to illuminate dark areas of space using reflected sunlight. The project aims to improve the safety of astronauts and reduce the energy consumption of space stations by using natural solar energy.

NanoLight is equipped with compact reflective panels, a stabilization system, and autonomous AI that identifies dark areas in real time and directs light toward them.

“The work combines relevance, a scientific approach, and original vision, demonstrating the student's high level of training and creative potential,” said project manager Evgeny Fomichev.
