"Sounds of the steppes"

In the NIS of Atyrau, an educational event was held within the framework of the projects "100 kuys in history" and "Connection of Generations".

Its main goal is to introduce students to the history of Kazakh kuys and the national instrument dombra, as well as to foster a love for traditional art.

The event was opened with performances by students with the cuyas "Adai", "Balbirauyn" and "Yerke sılım", after which the competition "Illustrating 100 cuyas" was held, where the children demonstrated their creativity.

At the "merry recess", the students performed their favorite tunes on the dombra and received memorable gifts. They also watched the historical drama "Dina. Kuy kudireti", sharing his impressions of the film.

The number of young people playing the dombra is growing every year. We are proud that our national instrument is recognized worldwide as a valuable cultural heritage.
