01 October 2026 10:11

Grade 12 “F” students of NIS Atyrau, Yerlik Yermukhammed and Madiyar Idirgali, together with their research supervisor Assif Abbas Syed, presented their scientific project at the international level.

The young researchers participated in the international “EuroChem 2026” conference organized by “NextChem” in Romania, where they presented their project to international scientists and experts.

The main objective of the research was to produce environmentally friendly biodiesel fuel from beef fat waste. The project involved the use of beef fat, ethanol, and potassium hydroxide, while exploring the possibility of reducing the negative environmental impact through the effective utilization of household waste.

The resulting product can be used as a fuel and for tourism-related purposes, including as a fire-lighting material.

The young researchers’ project demonstrates that waste can not only be disposed of but also transformed into a useful and environmentally friendly product. Presenting their work at an international scientific forum highlights the students’ research potential and their strong interest in science.
