Students from NIS Atyrau ranked among the best at the republican robotics olympiad World Robot Olympiad 2026 and secured tickets to the international competition.

According to the results of the republican stage of the traditional World Robot Olympiad 2026 robotics olympiad, organized by Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools in Almaty, the "Zhas Qan" team from NIS Atyrau won 2nd place in the Robo Sport category. The team consists of Altair Kushaliyev and Aldiyar Askaruly.

Additionally, the "Veritas_tech" team took 2nd place in the Future Innovators Junior category. This team includes Daulet Utegen and Abzal Amantai.

“Our project is aimed at modernizing museums and cultural spaces using modern robotics and generative artificial intelligence. The project is named AiZere. This name reflects the idea of blending modern technologies (AI) with the rich Kazakh cultural heritage. Our goal is to 'breathe life' into classic museum exhibits through Edge AI and robotics solutions, making history interactive, accessible, and exciting for the new generation.

Our team successfully combined hardware and software solutions. As a result, we developed an interactive robot guide capable of conducting a full contextual dialogue in Kazakh, Russian, and English, rather than just playing an audio recording,” the young roboticists said.

Both teams won a special quota granting them the opportunity to participate in the WRO national competition, which will take place on September 25–27 in India. The supervisor of both teams is Orzhanov Nurlan Magzomuly. Congratulations to the winners!
