Art therapy as a generational dialogue
26 January 2026 09:56
Students of Batas and Kairat NIS shanyraks in Atyrau, together with their curators, an art teacher and a school psychologist, visited the Center for Special Social Services No. 4.
During the visit, an art therapy session was held aimed at providing emotional support to the elderly and creating a warm space for communication.
During the meeting, the participants engaged in creativity, shared memories and emotions. The atmosphere of the class contributed to an open dialogue, reducing emotional stress and creating a sense of mutual respect and acceptance. The students acted not only as assistants, but also as attentive interlocutors, showing sincere care and participation.
For older people, art therapy has become an opportunity to express their feelings through creativity, to feel attention and support. And for schoolchildren, it is an important experience of social interaction, responsibility and citizenship. Such events strengthen the bond between generations, form a culture of caring and remind of the value of human warmth, attention and joint creativity.
