"READx": literary platform that heads spiritual development

In order to increase students' interest in reading literary books, develop their thinking and promote spiritual and moral values, the READx project was conducted in the NIS dormitory in Atyrau. The event was attended by parents, teachers, students and librarians who shared their opinions on the fiction and educational literature they had read.

During the project, "A Day is longer than a Century" by Chingiz Aitmatov, "Ai men Aisha" by Sherkhan Murtaza, "Kulan Azhaly" by Akan Nurmanov, "Ulpan" by Gabit Musrepov, "The Way of Abai" by Mukhtar Auezov, "The Centaur" by Askar Altai, the audiobook "Don't Be Second" by Kuanysh Shonbai, "The Count of MonteChristo" by Alexandre Dumas, works by Daniel Keyes "Flowers for Algernon", Zhanserik Kadyrbaev, "My family" are also presented.

In order to increase the activity of students during the event, an event "Think, find!" was held, participants tested their knowledge of works and author's ideas. The audience voted for the submitted books with the help of "reading" and "thinking" stickers.

At the end of the project, the participants were asked to increase their interest in reading, exchange opinions and develop literary taste. The READx project has undoubtedly become an effective platform for uniting readers, regardless of age, and promoting high-quality literary works.
