The NIS delegation shared its experience with a rural school

NIS representatives of Atyrau city visited Isatai district within the framework of the project for the development of rural support schools and exchanged experiences at the secondary school of Akkystau village.

During the event, NIS teachers met with the school administration, attended lessons and provided colleagues with feedback. After lunch, the subject students held a series of seminars where they discussed effective teaching and assessment methods.

The topics of the seminars included:

• Simple ways to explain complex biological topics;

• Methods of observing the lesson and providing feedback;

• Organization of practical work and assessment approaches;

• Active research (Action Research);

• The value of constructive feedback;

• Ways to develop functional literacy in history and mathematics lessons. In addition, the curatorial teachers presented the concept of the holistic development of NIS students and showed ways to effectively implement it in educational work.

This trip was an important step in strengthening cooperation between teachers, sharing experiences and improving the quality of education.
