NIS student in Atyrau Amir Umayev won a gold medal at the World Taekwondo Championships among men and women. The competition was held in the city of Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates.
About 1,000 athletes from 25 countries took part in it. In addition, the national team of Kazakhstan entered the top three in the team competition and became one of the strongest teams in the world.
Congratulations to Amir, who competed in the 40 kg weight class and defeated his rivals to become world champion!
