Primary fire extinguishing means

Fire extinguishers occupy a special place among the means of ensuring fire safety. They are easy to activate, they do not require special work skills and perfectly cope with the initial stages of ignition. But the effectiveness of using a fire extinguisher directly depends on its correct choice. An unsuitable fire extinguisher will not be able to control a fire, moreover, it may cause injury.

What kind of fire extinguisher should be used in different cases? Despite the seemingly obvious answer to this question, it's not that simple. I will not discuss what a fire extinguisher is for in this article. I will only note that its (fire extinguisher) presence should solve 2 tasks:

- the first is to put out a fire in the initial stage of development when it occurs;

- the second is to comply with the requirements of the Fire Safety Regulations, thereby eliminating the possibility of receiving a fine during the inspection.

The document regulating the provision of buildings with primary fire extinguishing equipment is the Order of the Minister of Emergency Situations dated February 21, 2022 No. 55 "On Approval of Fire Safety Rules", the Technical Regulations "General Requirements for Fire Safety" approved by the Order of the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated August 17, 2021 No. 405. The requirements specified in it should be guided when choosing fire extinguishers, including for cars.
