Students of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Astana acted as organizers of the international Bayan Sulu Hackathon 2026.

The central partner, main sponsor, and case partner of the hackathon was Bayan Sulu JSC. The company provided participants with real business cases, a prize fund, sweet gifts, and the opportunity for the best solutions to be considered for potential implementation within the company’s digital ecosystem.

A total of 135 teams, bringing together more than 400 school and university students, registered to participate in Bayan Sulu Hackathon 2026. The strong interest in the project demonstrated the growing involvement of young people in IT, entrepreneurship, digital development, and solving practical business challenges.

The hackathon was aimed at developing IT competencies, product thinking, entrepreneurial skills, and practical experience among young people. A key feature of the project was that participants worked not on abstract tasks, but on real challenges faced by a major Kazakhstani company. Teams developed full MVPs, prototypes, presentations, demo versions, and business justifications for digital solutions.
