Murat Almas, a student of Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Astana, received an invitation to study from Hong Kong University (HKU) with full funding. HKU is the leading university of Hong Kong, founded in 1911. HKU is regularly ranked among the best universities in the world. In the QS World University Rankings 2024, the university is ranked 26th in the world and 3rd in Asia. "The school helped me to enter the university under such a generous grant, nominating me within the framework of cooperation between the network of NICHE schools with HKU," Almas shared. Murat Almas enrolled in the Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering Science program. This program is characterized by its flexibility and includes five areas: Healthcare, Energy, Environmental, Materials and Systems Engineering. Hong Kong, as it is known, is a major international financial and technological center. It offers many opportunities for students and professionals, including access to state-of-the-art research laboratories, international companies and startups, as well as a rich cultural life and a variety of activities. Almas expressed gratitude to his school for the resources and support provided, which helped him prepare for admission. "Since the 7th grade, I have been preparing to enter the university, paying special attention to academic achievements and scientific activities. During my school years, I wrote and published two scientific research papers in the field of physics and engineering, which allowed me to deepen my knowledge in these areas and gain valuable experience," he said. Almas was also actively involved in the development of social projects such as Jasa and SafeUp. He successfully passed the SAT exam, scoring 1540 points.
