NIS Astana

On September 1, 2010, the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemistry and Biology opened its doors to students for the first time.

On July 12, 2011, a decision was made to undergo the school's authorization procedure for the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. Since this program provides students with broad opportunities and flexibility in choosing a field of study, the specialized chemistry and biology focus was abolished. From that moment on, the school was renamed the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Astana.
