As part of the traditional “Smart Thursday” project, which is held weekly at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School, a meeting themed “The Path to the Summit of Olympus” took place. The distinguished guests of the event were 12th-grade students – multiple winners of the International Chemistry Olympiad, Kirill Kim and Ablaı Kabdulhady.

During the meeting, Kirill and Ablaı shared their experiences of participating in olympiads with 7th-grade students, discussed the challenges and achievements encountered during their preparation, and offered practical advice for successful study of chemistry. They emphasized the importance of a systematic approach, independent learning, and a genuine passion for the subject.

The recipients of numerous awards at international, national, and regional levels inspired young chemists with their accomplishments. Kirill and Ablaı provided detailed accounts of their participation in the International Chemistry Olympiad in Riyadh and the Mendeleev Olympiad in Shenzhen, where they earned gold and silver medals. They also recounted stories about their travels, encounters with new cultures, and the significance of participating in international competitions, which helped them significantly enhance their English language skills.

Participants actively asked questions, learned about the specifics of olympiad preparation, and received valuable advice. The atmosphere of the event was filled with motivation and inspiration, and every attendee left with a renewed sense of confidence on their path to achieving their goals.
