5 GIRLS – MEMBERS OF THE UNESCO CLUB OF PHYSICS AND MATHEMATICS ASTANA PARTICIPATED IN A THREE-DAY INTERACTIVE SEMINAR

As part of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the three-day interactive seminar was held in Astana, organized by the UNESCO Regional Office in Almaty, in partnership with the UN Women in Kazakhstan, the Science Foundation Joint Stock Company of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and also by the Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs. The event was held at the UN building in Astana. The seminar was attended by 5 girls, the members of the UNESCO Club of Physics and Mathematics in Astana, @unescoclub_nisphmastana, who not only shared their experience, but also heard inspiring success stories of women scientists.They also actively participated in discussions in the field of science. The event provided an excellent opportunity to meet talented girls from various schools, such as Zerde, Binom, Spectrum, Quantum. At this meeting, the leader of the UNESCO NIS of Physics and Mathematics club in Astana took the first place in the intellectual quiz and won a personalized backpack from UNESCO. This recognition highlights her contribution to the scientific community and inspires other girls to actively engage in science. This entire initiative contributes to encouraging the participation of women and girls in fields of science, creating a more inclusive and diverse scientific community.
