🌱 Successful Conclusion of the "KiVa" Anti-Bullying Seminar

A regional seminar-training for staff from base schools on the "KiVa" anti-bullying program took place at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Astana. Over four days, specialists from Makinsk city in the Bulandy district (School-Lyceum named after Baluana Sholak), Akkol city in the Akkol district (Comprehensive Secondary School No. 3 named after Jayik Bekturov), Zhibek Zholy village in the Arshalyn district (Comprehensive Secondary School named after Imanzhusip Kutpanuly), and Astana city (School-Lyceum No. 72) enhanced their qualifications within the "KiVa" anti-bullying program and received special certificates upon completion.
This program is aimed at preventing bullying, combating it, and stopping it. The KiVa program, which has gained widespread international recognition, has been used in Finland since 2009. It was developed by the University of Turku with funding from the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture. Showing effective results, the program is now being introduced in Kazakhstan as well.
The main goal of the seminar was to equip base school staff with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively implement the "KiVa" anti-bullying program in schools. During the seminar, participants gained an understanding of the program, learned about its effectiveness, universal and specialized actions. They showed high levels of engagement, participated in topic-related games, and provided feedback.
The seminar was conducted by regional trainers of the "KiVa" anti-bullying program — Deputy Director for Educational Work at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Astana, A. Nurysheva, along with pedagogues-organizers-curators A. Zhakina, G. Kasym, and G. Bostekova.
