Orienteering competitions were held at our school as part of World Orienteering Week

Today, our school organized a special competition as part of the global "World Orienteering Week" project, aimed at promoting the sport of orienteering. The event was attended by 7th-grade students, parents, and geography teachers from various schools across Astana.

Equipped with only a map and a compass, participants competed in their ability to navigate and locate established checkpoints in sequence, racing to reach the finish line in the fastest time possible. By the end of the event, participants had gained a deeper understanding of the nuances of orienteering and showed great interest in this new hobby. In this way, our students and guests made their own contribution to the global sporting movement.
