Meeting of Young Geologists from the «Altair» Club with a Hydrogeologist from Altai

The «Altair» club hosted a special meeting with Gleb Pavlovich Klimantov, a hydrogeologist from Altai. His professional work is dedicated to the study of groundwater, while his passion lies in hiking and traveling across Kazakhstan.

Having learned about the «Zhas Geolog» Foundation, Mr. Klimantov showed genuine interest and expressed his wish to meet the young researchers in person. His initiative turned into an inspiring and educational event that left a lasting impression on the students.

During the meeting, the guest spoke about the importance of hydrogeology in today’s world, shared his field experience, and presented unique discoveries made during expeditions. A highlight of the event was his gift to the club — authentic mineral samples from Western Altai.

Mr. Klimantov also shared stories from his many journeys across Kazakhstan, emphasizing the importance of caring for nature and recognizing it as an inexhaustible source of knowledge.
