The International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA) took place in Mumbai — a prestigious competition for high school students that tests their knowledge in the fields of astronomy and astrophysics.

The Olympiad is held annually and is an important event for young scientists striving to develop their skills in space and science. The IOAA closely simulates real scientific research, which helps to develop critical thinking, teamwork skills, and scientific argumentation, while also inspiring young people to pursue careers in science and space exploration.

Damir Kurman, a student from the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Natural and Mathematical Sciences in the Nura district of Astana, participated in the Olympiad as part of the Kazakhstan team and was awarded a certificate for his excellent results. We congratulate Damir Kurman on this significant achievement and are proud of his success on the international stage!
