🌱 NIS Students Win Two Gold and One Bronze Medals at the IESO International Olympiad in China

The International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO), one of the most prestigious international intellectual competitions for school students, was held in Jining, China.

This year, the Olympiad brought together more than 200 students from 30 countries around the world. Participants competed in three main categories:
Individual Test – assessment of theoretical knowledge in Earth sciences;
EPS (Earth Project Study) – a team-based project aimed at solving a complex scientific problem;
ITFI (International Team Field Investigation) – fieldwork conducted in international teams with defense of research results.

Students from the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in the Nura district of Astana proudly represented Kazakhstan and achieved excellent results.
10th-grade student Alnur Tursynkhanov won a gold medal in the EPS category and a bronze medal in ITFI.
12th-grade student Alina Aitzhanova was awarded a gold medal in the EPS category.

The success of NIS students at this international Olympiad once again demonstrates the high level of preparation of Kazakhstani schoolchildren and their competitiveness in the global educational arena.
