Pride of the School and the Nation: Gold at the International Chemistry Olympiad IChO-2025
14 July 2025 16:05
The 57th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO-2025) was held in Dubai, UAE, bringing together over 360 talented students from 93 countries. Over several days, participants competed in two rigorous rounds – theoretical and practical – demonstrating deep knowledge in organic, analytical, and physical chemistry.
We are proud to announce that two 12th-grade students from the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Astana, Kirill Kim and Abylay Kabdulkhadyr, won two gold medals, making a significant contribution to Kazakhstan’s national team.
For Kirill, this is already his second gold medal at IChO – a remarkable achievement that reflects his exceptional level of preparation. Abylay also demonstrated impressive growth: after winning silver in 2024, he confidently rose to the gold podium this year.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to our talented students, their dedicated mentors, and their proud families on this outstanding accomplishment!
We wish them continued success and even greater achievements ahead.
