From February 18 to 21, 2025, the Republican competition of scientific projects in the natural sciences and mathematics was held in Aktobe. 577 students of grades 9–11(12) took part in this stage, presenting 433 scientific projects. The competition is held annually to support and stimulate scientific research activities of schoolchildren, identify and develop talented young researchers, and prepare them for participation in international scientific competitions.

The event was held in the format of an open exhibition that meets international standards, observing all sanitary, medical, fire and public regulations. The competition covered 10 sections reflecting key areas of natural and mathematical sciences. The jury included 60 leading scientists and teachers from the largest universities in Kazakhstan. The projects were assessed according to several key criteria, such as scientific novelty, validity of the research methodology, relevance of the topic and quality of the presentation.

According to the results of the competition, students of the NIS  in Aktobe took several prize places. Among them, in the section "Informatics" under the leadership of Nurlybai Uzakbaev, 1st place was taken by students of grade 10 "D" Jafar Mazhitov and grade 11 "H" Kerey Berdyshev. The honorable 3rd place was awarded to students of grade 9 "F" Madiyar Makhmet and Dias Zholdas in the section "Technology", the project managers were Gulim Baybolsyn and Laura Mandibaeva. In the section "Economics", 3rd place was taken by students of grade 11 "B" Aruzhan Bekniyazova and grade 11 "C" Nurai Bagdat under the leadership of Gulbarshyn Toremuratova. The certificate of participation in the section "Physics" was awarded to students of grade 9 "D" Bektai Tynyshtyk and Nurlanbek Madeniat, the project manager is Perizat Karimberdieva.

The organizers of the competition are the Republican Scientific and Practical Center "Daryn" of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the regional center "Aktobe Daryny" of the Education Department of the Aktobe region.

It is worth noting that the fourth stage of the competition in the social and humanitarian direction will be held from February 25 to 28, 2025 in Atyrau.
