The President at the NIS Reference School in Aktobe

The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, arrived on a working visit to the Aktobe region and visited Secondary School No. 1 in the city of Khromtau. The head of state got acquainted with the features of the educational process at the school and the students' research work in the laboratories.

Secondary School No. 1 in Khromtau is among the 135 schools participating in the "Development of the Potential of Anchor Schools in Rural Areas" project. This project is implemented by the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, the "Qazaqstan Khalqyna" Foundation, and the Sustainable Development Education Foundation.

Since 2023, School No. 1 in Khromtau has been designated as the anchor school for Aktobe NIS. NIS teachers provide systematic methodological support to the teachers of Khromtau School, conducting internships, courses, and seminars.

The President also participated in open lessons by the students of this school and other rural schools in an online format.

At the end of the visit, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev presented the school with a bus to create more comfortable conditions for the education of children from remote settlements.
