The "Strong Family" course has started at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Aktobe, which was attended by 25 families. This course, designed for parents of children aged 10-14 years, is aimed at strengthening family relations, improving educational skills and creating a favorable atmosphere in the family.
The program was developed by the School of Health and Social Well-Being at Oxford Brookes University based on scientific research conducted in Iowa, USA. The school's educational psychologists, who teach this course, have received specialized training from specialists from the UK.
The main topics of the seminar covered aspects of creating a strong family, forming positive relationships with children and motivation for the future. The problems arising from the interaction of parents and adolescents were also discussed. The first session consisted of three sessions, where participants got acquainted with the current problems of adolescents and methods of solving them. The goals and dreams of children and parents were also discussed, and at the end of the session, the participants outlined further plans.
Parents such as Aizada Yusupova highly appreciated the first training: "The psychological training was held at a very high level. The actual problems of modern society were touched upon, and it turned out to be extremely useful".
In the coming weeks, the seminar participants will continue their training and receive recommendations for strengthening family relationships.
