NIS Aktobe Students Among the Winners of Digital Bridge 2025

Anastasia Urmantseva and Dana Kazieva, 11G grade students of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Aktobe, presented their startup BaiterekGuide at the international forum Digital Bridge 2025 in Astana and became Meta Llama Accelerator Grand Winners.

BaiterekGuide is not just a school project but a full-fledged startup in the field of AI and AR technologies, developed by the AI Enjoyers team in collaboration with participants from Astana.

The startup represents an AI guide and AR quest for tourists in Kazakhstan’s capital, built on advanced Llama models (Llama 3 – conversational AI, Llama 2 Vision – image recognition).

What BaiterekGuide can do:

• Act as a virtual guide and AI avatar answering questions about Astana’s landmarks;

• Provide routes and recommendations for museums, parks, and cafes;

• Offer an AR quest with photo recognition, automatic checkpoint validation, collectible coins, and achievements.

Anastasia worked as an ML engineer, while Dana served as the AR specialist. At the forum, the students presented their project in English before representatives of Astana Innovations, Meta, and AWS.

Next steps include planning the implementation of BaiterekGuide for tourists in collaboration with Astana Innovations.
