27 August 2025 10:23

Ayim Zhubatkan, a student of the Natural Sciences and Mathematics track at NIS Aktobe, won a bronze medal at the final round of the International Economics Olympiad (Economics Olympiad International Final Round 2025), held in Greece.

This prestigious intellectual competition brought together more than 130 high school students from 28 countries. The Olympiad aims to develop analytical and critical thinking, a deep understanding of economic processes, and the ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical tasks.

The final gathered the strongest participants — each country was represented by a team of five winners from national selections. The program included several stages: theoretical and practical tasks in economics and finance, requiring both in-depth knowledge and the ability to apply it in practice.

Kazakhstan’s team was personally congratulated on their success by Timur Sultangozhin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Hellenic Republic. He highlighted the high level of preparation of the students and emphasized that their achievements strengthen Kazakhstan’s reputation on the international stage.

We are proud of your success, Ayim!
