The traditional NIS August Conference is taking place

In Ust-Kamenogorsk, the Nazarbayev Intellectual School hosted the traditional NIS August Conference, with the main theme: “Values – the Driving Force of Education: What and How the Modern Teacher Teaches.”

The conference brought together directors and teachers of Intellectual Schools on a unified dialogue platform.

In his speech, Anuar Zhangozin, Chairman of the Board of AEO “Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools,” emphasized the importance of the August Conference as a platform for professional exchange of experience and highlighted the relevance of instilling values in the educational process. He placed particular focus on the role of values such as respect, honesty, diligence, patriotism and responsibility, family traditions, openness, and global citizenship in creating a holistic school environment that unites students, teachers, and parents.

In the new academic year, plans include the launch of innovation centers, the introduction of the KiVa anti-bullying program, restrictions on smartphone use, as well as new projects for teacher development.

The two-day conference program features master classes, TEDx NIS, the “Fail Conference,” discussions on SEL, and exploration of the importance of values in education.

The August Conference continues to serve as a key platform for sharing experiences and jointly seeking solutions for the school of the future.
