The elective course "Physical Methods in Medical Diagnostics" has successfully concluded

05 June 2025 10:25

Throughout the academic year, 11th-grade students participated in the elective course dedicated to modern methods of medical diagnostics. They explored the physical principles behind technologies such as ultrasound, X-ray, MRI, PET, and ECG. The course covered topics including radiation-tissue interaction, fundamentals of nuclear physics, and how to apply theoretical knowledge in practice.

As part of their learning, students completed an internship at the Aigerim clinic, where they had the opportunity to observe the real work of medical staff and familiarize themselves with diagnostic equipment. The clinic’s staff praised the students for their knowledge and were pleasantly surprised by their enthusiasm and curiosity.

"It’s worth noting that they were very motivated and goal-oriented, asking many questions which we tried our best to answer. The students visited diagnostic rooms according to a schedule, observed how diagnostics are conducted, and learned how professionals interact with patients. I believe this experience gave them their first real impression of the medical profession they aspire to join,"
said Raushan Shungulova, Chief Physician of the Aigerim Clinic branch on Sherniyaz Street.

This course was a true journey into the world of interdisciplinary science, where medicine meets physics, chemistry, and biology. Students developed critical thinking, research, and analytical skills essential for understanding complex diagnostic processes.

At the end of the course, all participants received certificates recognizing their hard work and newly acquired knowledge.

Congratulations to the students on completing the course! We wish them continued success in their academic and professional journeys!
