Farewell to School: A Special Day

Saying goodbye to school is a heartfelt and memorable milestone for every graduate.
This year’s Last Bell ceremony at Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Aktobe marked the end of the 2024–2025 academic year and opened the door to a new chapter in life for 152 graduates. Among them, 8 students were awarded the “Altyn attestat” (Gold Certificate of Excellence).

During the ceremony, the school principal, Kairbek Buksukbayev, highlighted the achievements of the academic year and presented special awards to outstanding students, active classes, and 12th-grade students who had made significant contributions to school life. Those awarded the titles “Best Student” and “Best Shańyraq” also received special recognition.

This year, Kazakhstan is widely celebrating the 180th anniversary of the great poet Abai Qunanbaiuly. In honor of this occasion, Abai’s poetry was recited during the event, and his spiritual legacy was respectfully highlighted.

Adding a special touch to the celebration, members of the first graduating class of NIS Aktobe—who completed their studies 10 years ago—joined as honored guests, sharing heartfelt memories and warm wishes with the new graduates.

The emotional high point of the evening was the “Last Waltz,” symbolizing not only farewell to school but also to childhood itself.
The gentle chime of the final school bell will remain in the graduates’ hearts as a cherished memory, filled with nostalgia and hope for the future.
