Today, the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Aktobe hosted the final concert of the mandatory “Dombra” project for 7th-grade students.

Seventh-grade students showcased the skills they acquired over the academic year and shared their achievements in performing on the national instrument.

To date, students have mastered four required küy pieces from the curriculum: "Kenges", "Kelinshek", "Zhasstar Bii", and "Tepenkök".
Their repertoire also includes well-known compositions such as "Erkem-ai", "Năr Aghashy", "Adai", "Balbyrauyn", and "Er Turan".

The concert featured a violin performance of the popular song "Shape of You", and the school orchestra played the traditional küy "Aqzhelen".

It is worth noting that this event marked the conclusion of a unique educational project aimed at introducing students to national values and fostering a love for Kazakh music.

The goal of the project is to support students’ moral and spiritual development, instill pride in Kazakhstan’s cultural heritage, and promote national identity.

Throughout the academic year, students studied the fundamentals of musical art and explored the history, philosophy, and spiritual richness of the Kazakh people through listening to, analyzing, and performing küy compositions.

At the end of the concert, the most active and high-achieving students were awarded certificates.

This concert was not only the culmination of an academic endeavor but also an important step in preserving and promoting Kazakh culture among the younger generation.
