From May 14 to 16, our school was visited by Andy Cirocki, Associate Professor of the University of York from the UK, who is the author of books and articles in the field of education.

As part of this visit, the English Department organised a seminar for English teachers from city schools, where our teachers, Ainagul Urazalina, Assiya Amanbaeva and Ayazhan Utegenova spoke about their research and shared practical experiences of participating in international conferences.
Also, over the course of three days, Dr. Cirocki, together with our colleague Yeraly Baizhanov, held a seminar for NIS teachers on the topic of «Reflective Research Practices», where the importance and types of reflection, the role of reflection in teachers' research practices and Action Research were discussed.

During the seminar, our teachers were able to discuss plans for research projects for the next academic year and receive feedback from the scholar. Following the meetings, Mr. Chirotsky noted the good level of research conducted at the school and wished for greater dissemination of NIS experience in international publications and conferences.
