NIS Dance battle- «Kazakh ethno groove»

In honor of International Dance Day on April 29, the annual NIS Dance Battle took place among students.

This year’s dance competition was held under the theme “Kazakh Ethno Groove.” The shanyraks showcased not only the synchronicity of their movements but also creative combinations of ethnic motifs with modern rhythms. It is worth noting that the theme of the battle changes every year, and the students’ main task is to convey their ideas through the art of dance.

Each performance was unique in its own way: from fiery, energetic dances to lyrical ethno-compositions, from traditional costumes to modern choreographic solutions. The hall erupted in applause, and the jury could hardly contain their emotions!

While the judges withdrew for deliberation, the stage briefly turned into karaoke — the dances smoothly flowed into a cheerful, improvised show.

2nd Place — Shanyraks Bolashaq and Birlik
3rd Place — Shanyraks Asyl, Alash, and Barys
