Teams from NIS Aktobe won top prizes at the city-level AIS Hackathon.
Among the winners, the 11th grade team — Kerei Berdyshev, Maksim Kosov, Abdullaziz Gabitov, and Jafar Mazhitov — took 1st place, while the 8th grade team — Beksultan Marat, Abylaikhan Mendikhan, and Aryn Sadyrov — earned 2nd place.
The hackathon participants spent 36 hours immersed in an atmosphere of innovation, creativity, and teamwork. They developed cutting-edge solutions under the theme:
"Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Against Tardiness: Smart Technologies for the School of the Future."
The 11th grade students presented a project called "Qatysu" — an intelligent student attendance system.
“Our project includes a hardware component (a smart AI-powered facial recognition camera) and a software component (a website for students and school administrators),” explained Kerei Berdyshev.
The 8th grade students also presented their own project, using Python code and AI capabilities.
Both teams were awarded 1st and 2nd place honors, along with cash prize certificates.
Congratulations to our students!
