October 1st is International Day of Older Persons

NIS students in Aktau delighted the elderly ahead of the holiday.

On October 1st, in honor of International Day of Older Persons, volunteers from the “Meirim Oski” organization, students from the dormitory, members of the “Bolashak” group, their parents, educators, and the project coordinator held an event for the elderly at the Social Services Center No. 2, titled “A Nation That Honors Its Elders is Worthy of Respect.”

During the festive event, students organized a concert program featuring songs, music, poetry, and dance, and conducted master classes in chess, тоғызқұмалақ, painting, quizzes, and guessing hidden songs, bringing great joy to the elderly.

The elderly were gifted sweets from the parents of the dormitory students and chess and тоғызқұмалақ boards from the “Service to Society” charity fund. The event particularly emphasized the values of kindness, respect, hard work, and creativity. The elderly expressed their gratitude and blessed our students for the event.
