August Conference of NIS: Academic Integrity in the Age of New Technologies

Today, scientific technologies and artificial intelligence are developing at an astonishing pace. While digital advancements bring numerous benefits, they also raise questions related to plagiarism, copyright protection, the development of creative thinking, and academic integrity among youth. Therefore, special caution must be exercised when integrating modern technologies into education. These and other issues were discussed in detail at the traditional August conference of the autonomous organization of education "Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools" in Aktau.
At the opening of this large-scale conference on the topic "Academic Integrity in the Age of New Technologies," participants included Anuar Zhangozin, Chairman of the Board of the autonomous organization of education "Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools," Zvira Esbergenova, Deputy Akim of the Mangystau region, Daniyar Toktarbaev, Director of the Education Sustainable Development Fund, Nurgul Makhambayeva, Head of the Project Office of the Academic Integrity League, and Ermek Alimzhanov, Director of the Digital Institute of Lifelong Education at the Astana IT University. Additionally, around 100 teachers participated in person, while 3,500 joined remotely.
