«Туған елге тағзым-2024»

The Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Aktau organized a research expedition titled “Туған елге тағзым” (Paying Respect to the Homeland).

On the first day of the project, a "Youth Fest" event was held for participants, where students engaged in relay games and competed against each other. Additionally, creative workshops led by dormitory supervisors took place.

Students from the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools in Oral and Kyzylorda visited the Kabibolla Sydykov Regional Library in Mangystau. They learned about the library's architecture and the books related to local studies.

On the second day of the expedition, participants visited the A. Kekilbayev Regional Museum of History and Local Lore. During the tour, museum staff shared interesting information about Abish Kekilbayev's invaluable contributions to the region's formation and development.

Kazakhstan is evolving with the use of new marine technologies. One such place is the naval department of the Sh. Esenov University. The ziyatkers became acquainted with the institution equipped with the latest technologies and showed interest.

Students also visited the “Kaz Fruit” food storage facility, where they learned about how fruits and vegetables are preserved during the summer.

The theme day “Development of the City of Aktau” concluded with sports games on the seaside.

On the third day, participants traveled to “Kazakh Osseter” LLP, a company engaged in the breeding of sturgeon and freshwater fish. Students had the opportunity to see the fish in the pool and learn about different fish species.

The expedition day on “Flora and Fauna of Mangystau” continued at an ostrich farm. At the farm, students encountered African and Australian ostriches, peacocks, and rabbits.

The third day concluded with a workshop on creating decorative applied works themed on “Flora and Fauna of Mangystau.”

On the fourth day, expedition participants had the opportunity to learn about the operations of “KazAzot” JSC, one of the largest chemical manufacturers in Central Asia. Students toured the laboratories and main production workshops of the chemical enterprise. Company specialists explained the processes of synthesizing and processing chemicals and introduced the principles of operation of technological equipment.

In Mangystau, there is only one oil refinery, “Caspi bitum,” focused on producing oxidized and modified road bitumen in Kazakhstan. Students also had the chance to visit this refinery. Participants toured the facility and learned about its operations. The bitumen plant in Aktau was built following the directive of the First President of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev as part of the state program for accelerated industrial-innovative development of Kazakhstan.

The fourth day ended with painting the emblem of “Туған елге тағзым-2024” using various art techniques.

On the fifth day of the local studies expedition, students embarked on a journey to the sacred sites of the Mangystau region. Participants first visited the underground mausoleum of Karaman ata. There, they learned about the history of the saint and paid their respects to the spirits of their ancestors.

Mangystau has many unexplored places, one of which is the “Torysh” canyon. Students were amazed to see the canyon, which has a history of over a million years.

At the end of the trip, they enjoyed the natural wonder known as “Aqespe.”

After the long journey, students submitted their diaries, summarized the week of TET, and participated in the awards ceremony.
