Intellectual School Students Returned with Awards from the National Grappling Championship

A 7th-grade student of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Aktau, Muzaffar Batyrzhan, won first place at the Republic of Kazakhstan Championship in grappling under the AIGA version, which was held for the first time in Taraz. A 9th-grade student, Abylaikhan Demegen, took third place.
The competition was held on April 11–12 among teenagers and juniors. The students from Aktau participated as part of the Mangystau Region regional team. The strongest athletes from all regions of the country gathered for this historic tournament and demonstrated performances of a high level.
Muzaffar Batyrzhan has been practicing grappling for one year. Before that, he was involved in sports such as taekwondo and kickboxing. His coach is Rinat Ruslanov.
Abylaikhan Demegen has been practicing grappling for six months. His coach is Yesbolat Medeuov.
