The “Zhas art DANCE” ensemble, made up of students from the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Aktau, won the Grand Prix at the international “Tashkent Talent Fest” competition held from March 23 to 26 in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.

Around 500 participants from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan took part in the competition, competing in three categories.
Students from NIS Aktau performed in the “Choreography” category, presenting the dance “Toy Duman.” They also performed the dance “Mereke” at the opening ceremony of the competition.

According to the group’s leader, Ulbir Samatkyzy, the main goal of the ensemble was not only to demonstrate dance skills but also to present Kazakh traditions in a unique format.

— Choreography is not just dance; it is a way to express the voice of the heart, various events, thoughts, and ideas. We fully develop the concepts of our performances ourselves, so I believe our idea resonated with the audience, — said Ulbir Samatkyzy.

We congratulate our students and their leader, Ulbir Samatkyzy, on their victory!
